# Best Gardening Gloves Source: https://balconygardenpicks.com/best/best-gardening-gloves Updated: 2026-09-15 Publisher: Balcony Garden Picks. Our score is an editorial rating out of 10 (fit 35%, features 25%, build 20%, value 20%), not a customer rating. Method: https://balconygardenpicks.com/how-we-research#our-score Good gloves keep potting soil out of your nails and protect your hands from splinters, thorns, and the odd sharp tool without turning delicate jobs into a fumble. For container gardening, fit and dexterity matter more than heavy-duty armor, since most of the work is planting, pinching, and repotting. Breathable knit gloves with a coated palm handle everyday potting well and let you feel small seedlings, while thicker leather or rubberized pairs are worth it if you deal with roses or rough work. Check that they fit snugly, since loose gloves slip, and look for a machine-washable option to keep them fresh. ## Picks ### 1.
