What we liked
- + Timer sets watering intervals from 1 hour to 30 days, so the wall keeps itself watered while you are away
- + Rain sensor pauses irrigation on wet days, and each drip head adjusts between small, medium and strong
- + Kit includes the 36 pocket frame, irrigation hose, drainage pipe, leak-proof soil bags and timer
Trade-offs
- - Needs a connection to a water source, which many apartment balconies do not have within hose reach
- - Costs several times more than passive pocket planters that you water by hand
